Stuff I Am Doing

That was me doing some admin stuff, Kagz. The download didn't change.

Ah, coincedence then.
Still the fact remains, that the mod that is up on MMH is faulty and incomplete.
Now i just need to know if anyone has a version that works and is complete.
If they do, then same as the squirrels, i wont need to do anything.
If their version is nacked like the MMH one,
then i will fix the mod and reupload it or something.

Neil i have used those deer in the past in my Youngblood mod.
I didnt like them either, too big and didnt look right to me.
Must admit about the unicorn also it was ok, but........., you know what i mean.

Here is the original Deer mesh (and its Texture) I referred to above.

If you decide to take this project on, the mesh/texture has a "db_" suffix, so it's probably NOT Cait or PseronWyrd (or, whoever did "Ald-Vendras" figured it was OK to use/change them at the time....)

No sound files are associated with either my deer or moose (did these animals actually make sounds?)
A "wapiti" sound for your Elk might be neat... Ask Neildarkstar for a sound clip from one of his Native American music files)

Oh, and don't mind the "AV_" extension in the enclosed .esp entries-- I extracted them from "Ald-Vendras v3.1," since it was higher up in my modlist. Same mesh, nonetheless. So, no problemo with "The Wilderness Mod"

Okay, this is the Mooseses that I got from Lady E's. There are 4 with different textures, but...

No sound files at all.

Ok you guys are really confusing me.
Ive got all these files and esps.

Daroot, i cant do anything with the deer lol.
If i take it into Max to try to resize it,
it will lose all animations and become a static.
The only way it can be resized is by set scale in the CS
or by script or i think maybe by nifskope, perhaps.

Neil thats the meshes and tex for the moose only.
HTF did it end up at Lady E's site.
It was Cait who made the meshes and PseronWyrd made the tex,
nothing to do with Lady E.

If i cant get any info on the prob,
then i will just go ahead and suppose that the mod is faulty whoever has it.
Then i will add a new sound to the existing two unused sounds,
so that it can have the full set of Moan Roar and Scream.
I will also give them good working stats instead of default.

Yep. That's why my .esp has the Scale set at 50%.

I dunno boss, I downloaded the moose maybe 2 or 3 years ago, and I know it was from Lady E because there was no mod, just what I put in that package I just uploaded. Lady E was the only one I remember who's site regularly had creatures and resources with no esps. I downloaded some snakes, and I think a shark which was by Cait there at about the same time. The sound files with the creatures from there were always screwy or missing.

I remember the first time I ran into a giant snake with a default creature roar.... but the animation wasn't all that great either. The head was weird when it moved.

Its weird how you got them there lol.
Cait made them for PseronWyrd and he made a mod with them.
Thats all that happened, she didnt give them to me, only to Pseron.
So i have no idea how any of Caits meshes, can end up on Lady E's site for download, weird lol.

I tried the snakes once but they were pretty poor, so i got rid of them quick.
Snakes were one of the things i was going to ask Cait to do eventually,
along with frogs and insects, lizards etc etc,
but time ran out and she left the scene.

[Incidentally, somebody posted somewhere that "db_" signified "Dragon's Breach," so maybe the deer IS Lady E's or Proudfoot's]
Snakes I got lots of (and sent a few to Neildarkstar back when).
I'm thinking some edits to THEIR animation files might also be a Good Thing for the modding community.

The deer are Lady E's and Proudfoots lol.
They are the only deer models made for the game, as far as i know.
Cait never did any Deer at any time,
apart from the Moose, which could be called a type of deer.
Same with the snakes, they are Lady E' and Proudfoots also.
Once again they are the only snake models that i am aware of.

No point in me getting the animation files for the deer,
as i still wont be able to do anything with them.
I used to have a script long, long time ago,
which you could use to size the creature.
It has been lost over the years, but i am sure someone,
with a little scripting knowledge could write one n/p.

Daroot did you see the blurb i posted about Sea Coal ?
I thought you would know about that lol.

I have a couple of decent resizing scripts floating around... We could get 'em down to about an inch long, I'd guess. Be fun hunting them in tall grass, eh?
