Sister, your Kartoffelpuffern recipe makes the best [THE BEST] potato pancakes I have ever had!
Made the "standard" ones today.
Wolflore Members -- you have got to try these...You just gotta!
Thank you so much.
Tomorrow, I'll try the "spicy" version [or maybe the next day - y'see, I got all these band-aids on my fingers right now...]

Safety first! Maybe we should do a Kevlar glove giveaway for the recipe thread participants?

Well, since the Moderators themselves have taken this off-topic
[sorry, Sister. But, I'm sure you understand...]
Let's just try not to let Miserina find out about the additional "human blood" ingredient, shall we?

I thank you all for the fun I had. Thanks to Jac for the link (and Elaura for the suggestion). It is a very nice blog.

Thank you DARoot for your kind words, I really love my Kartoffelpuffer that way that I made some for myself today :D

And the offtopic gave me laughter. So no bad (fingertip) blood

I will go on here and link the following recipes in the first post.

You (and your Dad) just keep doing what you are doing.
Very much appreciated!

[And, really, I can't wait to see the reaction of the other Wolflore Members to Saumagen (at least, those who have never tried it before...]

[See? If you had your own dedicated "German Cooking" website, you probably wouldn't have to put up with our silliness ... but, we're glad you are here, and willing to, and having fun...]

[Whoa! We BOTH had Kartoffelpuffer today? How's that for Karma???]

Take one cup of whole organic milk (3,8 % fat, not the longer-fresh which is treatened to be preserved) and those yummy german chocolate cookies. Dip every cookie carefully into the milk - not too long so the heavy, soaken part does not fall off. Enjoy every bit of this tasty meal. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...

Okay, today I tried to make South Tyrol Bacon Dumplings.

Image

But something went wrong. They taste good but look like crap - nothing I would give to a guest.

Otherwise I have to admit that they look not much different from these... maybe the mistake wasn't that big :chinscratch:

I made a fake roast sauce for it (so I did not have to make a roast in the middle of the week) which tastes awesome.

And also Asparagus Poor German style because it's season now and all go crazy for 6 weeks (you don't get German Spargel outside the season, just imported stuff).
