Election Day in the USA

Postby fleet » Mon Nov 07, 2016 8:48 pm

November 8, 2016 is election day in the USA. If you live there and have registered to vote, please do so.
It's none of my business who you vote for, and I won't ask you to vote for one candidate or another, but I do ask that you vote.
If the lines are long (they probably will be), please don't get impatient; stay in line and VOTE!
Why? I like big ones, that's why.

Democracy: when you get to choose between being hanged or beheaded.
And then hear the executioner say "ehy, it was your choice!"
I don't have a dirty mind. I just have a sexy imagination.

Very true, although some would say that your joking description is a better fit for plutocracy. I leave it up to everyone to decide whether that title suits the topic at hand.

Yes. Now I can go back to watching the news once or twice a week. Maybe even read a paper now and then.

One really sad statistic I read and I hope it is wrong: nearly 47% of registered voters didn't vote this election.
Available for weddings, funerals, hand fasting, and baptisms.
