Hmm.

1 - Better Bodies
2- Better Clothes
3 - High res body texture pluginless replacer.
4 - Leaves of Lorien(I love the different armor for different sexes)
5 - MCA 5.1(because I never want to lose Shareel, or the more mature Courtesans)
6 - White Wolf of Lokken Mountain (same as above)
7 - Starfire's NPC's (just the animations of people teleporting in an out of towns rules)
8 - Westly Presents the Markynaz with Princess Stomper's Gatanas companion.
9 - Hold it! (with attachments for CoM, MCA, Starfire's, etc.)
10 - Abot's Fish mod (or the animal one where more fauna is added)

Those are the ones that immediately get added with each new installation first, then I set about adding the rest of the over 245 mods.

Balmora Expanded really is good, isn't it? Makes the city actually feel like one. Great collaborative effort.

I can't make a top 10 for the life of me.
I do know that I cannot play without the following mods:

Better bodies (like everyone else)
CoV and Helluva armour: shopping/sorting /matching outfits is an important part of playing, the fun is multiplied by the number of companions!
CoM, just because
Handy Equipping, I can't be a sloppy thief wasting time looking for my picks
Antares' big mod, should have been part of the game.
Abot's wildlife mods
NoM
Starfire's npc addition, because a town has to have more than 10 inhabitants and the mage teleporting are cool
LGNPC, ...so even npcs have a life?
Toy Shoppe, I love collecting figurines and toys... I guess at some point I forgot to grow up...
Graphic herbalism, even though I used Andores' mod before that. A mix of the 2 would be a dream come true!
melian's teleport plugin, essential to keep track of my companions (which like everything else, I collect)

Shoot, it's already more than 10... i also use my own Hold it and MTC and POTD paintings but that's to be expected.
Thank you Fable for mentioning Pegasus Estate, I will finish it, mostly because I need it to play. I am pretty much done updating my mods and Bard's life is about to be released, all that will be left is PE. Of course, I have ideas for new mods but stubbonly refuse to write them down or think more about them.

Not really. I rather find it a disappointment, after what is described and what you should get.
In my opinion it's a bit the two worlds (the first one) under the big mods: it looks promising and is certainly nice, but it could be so much better.
I'm sorry to say this.

I enjoy Balmora Expanded, but I think it is a matter of what you expect. The first time I visited vivec I was amazed that it was supposed to be a city but there was really hardly any NPC's in it, and Balmora originally felt bigger than vivec as far as population and interaction.

Top ten, dh? Hmmm...
1. Better Bodies
2 Better Heads
2. Wesley's Master Head pack
4. NoM
5. Clothiers of Vvardenfell
6. Hellhouse X (I only use the place as a base, not the summoning I love the textures and old castle look and feel)
7. Abot's Water Life
8. Ultimate Galleon
9. Deus ex Machina
10. A mish-mash of my own mods, tweaks , retextures and such that I refer to as "My Game". Not that my work is so good, but because I know what I want to customize my game.

And by the way, I'm jealous as hell about Jasmine, and some of the other screenshots I've seen. You guys all seem to come up with these gorgeous heads, but I just can't seem to find much when I go looking. I tried making my own, but I had to call the mod "Freak Show"...

Jasmine's head was that of a Playboy model from 2006 I believe, Neil. Harborgolfer over on Enmesharra's made the photo into a face. Without his help, she would have had another head.
